Ilok (Croatian pronunciation: [ilok]) is the easternmost town in Croatia. Located in the Syrmia region, it lies on a hill overlooking the Danube river, which forms the border with the Bačka region of Serbia. Bačka Palanka (Serbian: Бачка Паланка, pronounced [bâːtʃkaː pǎlaːnka]) is a town and municipality located in the South Bačka District of the autonomous province of Vojvodina, Serbia. It is situated on the left bank of the Danube.
